There are moments in life when you witness someone’s heart and passion creating ripples far beyond what they could ever imagine.

Denver Barkey and his Barkey Buds program are exactly that—a shining example of how one person, with the right intentions, can change lives. Through Barkey Buds, over 100 families have been able to experience the joy of attending games, and more than 1,500 pieces of equipment have been donated to children who might not have had the chance otherwise.

These aren’t just numbers—they represent laughter, confidence, and the spark of hope in countless young lives. What makes this program truly special is the love and dedication behind it.

Supported by the London Knights Official Fan Club, every t-shirt sold, every event held, and every drive organized is a labor of care and commitment. It’s about creating moments that matter, doors that open, and memories that last.

Denver’s efforts have rightly been recognized with the 2024-25 OHL Humanitarian of the Year award and the Dan Snyder Memorial Trophy—but it’s not the awards that define him. It’s the countless small acts of kindness, the endless energy poured into helping others, and the way he makes every child feel seen, included, and valued.

Denver’s family has been a major part of this journey—a constant source of belief, support, and inspiration. Their impact is immeasurable, not just in the lives of the kids they help, but in the heart of the Knights community itself. They aren’t just contributors—they are family.
